Bali, The Land of Gods

Image
Back in the mid-2014, while I was about to get hitched, I really wanted our honeymoon to be special. Being a travel addict, and smitten by beautiful landscapes and culture, I am always eager to explore new lands. While I was thinking about the place to wind down after the big fat Indian wedding, I was keener on exploring some place in India than an international trip. But life had some other plans and we ended up booking ourselves for Bali. I did an extensive research on the itinerary with the help of a friend who had been there a year back. And so there we were exploring the beauty of Bali. When one starts exploring Bali, they can truly make out why it’s called as The Land of Gods. An Artist in Ubud From beautiful turquoise water to the volcanic mountains to the cliff side temples to the rice paddy fields and beautiful music, its truly a place that hits your wanderlust chord. As soon as we land in Bali, we get to see the war statues depicted from the Hindu epic Mahabharata ...

A Bumpy Ride

Image
Me and my friends have been doing a monsoon trip every year. It has been a ritual for us no matter we meet some other time of the year or not, but this trip short/long doesn’t matter, we all go and have a good time. It all began with a random trip we took in the monsoons to Mahabaleshwar couple years back and the fun we had has been itched in our minds forever. From there on, every monsoon was eagerly waited for a new place to be explored. For the last 2 years, this ritual is broken and it’s not like an effort was never made but somehow, it just didn’t happen. However, I knew I’d get sometime by the end of year and had already geared up friends to make themselves available, no matter what!! And it was affirmatively agreed upon right away. We all started looking for places where we could ride to for a weekend since that was the only time where all of us could fit in. The priority for this trip was a...

My Son's First Road Trip!!

Image
Being an admirer of nature and traveling, I always wanted my son to start early on road trips and was thinking on nearby place where I could take him to ASAP. Around 2 months back, I and my dad were having this discussion of going to our native place which we always do once a year. And my dad an avid traveler (though he didn’t travel many places apart from Gujarat because he couldn’t but am sure he would have had time and money permitted. I got this travel bug from my parents) himself suggested of taking a road trip to Gujarat. He is very much keen on taking one himself for a long time now. So, I got on doing some research and preparing itinerary. The only thing that stopped me from taking this trip right away was Grey Wind as many of you got to know her from my previous post. It’s a mouse and we are a family of five and a half (me, wife, our 5-month-old son, my folks and sister) which makes it uncomfortable for such a long drive. We finally decided on breaking this journey in pa...

HVK 10 Drive

Image
It all began with my addiction for Cars and Planes since early childhood. When I was just 3 years old, dad used to ask what should I get for you when I come home? And I was like a Plane or a Red Car!! Growing up I was still fascinated by the sound of throttle from the cars and bikes. It literally calms me down. Fast forward a few years and I heard of HVK Sir for the first time. When one of my friends introduced me to that name, I was in awe of it. And I was like how someone could literally remember all the routes across pan India. No matter where one was stuck, one phone call to HVK and they were back on the track listening to their favorite songs. I searched a bit on HVK and stumbled upon the HVK Forum on Facebook. I quickly joined the group and found so many like minded folks from across the country. We literally get so many updates each day, thanks to the forum. After following the forum actively, one fine day I got to know about the HVK WhatsApp Group (WAG) and joined that to...

A New Beginning

I've been thinking on penning down my thoughts since quite some time now. And my family and friends have been pushing me more than ever to do so and kept on motivating me that I can do it. Juggling my mind on so many things in life my thoughts get scattered as to where should I begin with. I am passionate about traveling, photography, reading, music and most of the art forms. I am so curious to know new things that I keep on hopping from one space to another in no time. I get curious if there is some new bird chirping around or if I come across a new species of insect, or just thinking on where does wind come from? Of course, it's due to sun generating it but makes me curious on the kind of impact it leaves. It might make someone happy on the beach enjoying the sea breeze whereas it might create havoc in some other part of the world. If I see a new photo trick, I want to try that or may be some movie and want to understand how did they even do that? If I see a new place, I w...
